After several years providing courses for TAG aircrews as well as external clients at TAG Farnborough Airport, TAG’s Global Training programme has expanded to include courses in Geneva and Madrid. Next month, the Company will launch its own Cabin Crew Training Academy at Farnborough with the initial course already fully booked.
Malcolm Rusby, who implemented a Safety Management System across TAG Aviation and serves as the Company’s European Safety Director, is guiding expansion for both the Safety and Cabin Crew programmes.
“We’re committed to continuously improving TAG’s safety culture,” says Rusby, a 20-year veteran of flying corporate and air ambulance aircraft. There are currently over 40 external clients profiting from TAG’s training programmes, which offer courses in Dangerous Goods, First Aid, Aviation Security, CRM, SEP, Winter Operations, Aviation Survival, Wet Drills, RVSM and Fire & Smoke.
With courses that include initial and conversion training for commercial Cabin Crew, Silver Service and business jet cabin expertise, the Cabin Crew Academy expects to receive CAA accreditation shortly. As with Safety Training, it is offered to third-party Companies as well as being a key part of TAG Aviation’s initiative to maintain high levels of expertise for their own crews.
